Chiara Tognolotti is adjunct professor of the History of Cinema at the University of Florence and Professor of the History of Italian Cinema at the Sarah Lawrence College Italian Study Abroad Program. She is the author of several publications on the work of Max Ophuls, Jean Epstein, animated film and the history of film theories, as well as various essays focusing mostly on French silent film.
